Pedestrians in critical condition after car accident
Two Ft. Lauderdale women are in critical condition after they were involved in an accident on Saturday night.
The women, ages 79 and 58, were crossing the street near Northeast 26th Avenue around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night when the front-end of an oncoming car struck them both. The driver, a 35-year-old man from Sunrise, was not injured in the accident.
Both pedestrians were transported to Broward General Medical Center. They both remain there with severe injuries. Police are investigating the pedestrian accident, but at this time no one has been charged in the collision.
