An airplane crash
On Wed, Oct 12, a plane headed for North Perry airport in the Ft. Lauderdale suburb of Hollywood, FL crashed on the Florida Turnpike. The number of people on board has not been confirmed, but according to Gregory Meyer of the Broward County Aviation Department, “… [they] believe two people were on board and transported to the hospital.”
Fortunately, no vehicles were struck on the busy turnpike. The airplane was a Socata single-engine turboprop, and its nose landed into the median with its wings crushed.
