Pedestrian Car Accident
A Fort Meyer woman was struck and killed in a pedestrian auto accident in Fort Lauderdale near County Road 315.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. when a woman was struck by a tractor-trailer. The 50-year-old woman’s car broke down and she was walking home when she was struck by a 33-year-old man who was driving with an empty trailer.
It is thought that the woman was walking in the roadway and wearing dark clothing. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver suffered minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation at this time.
