Drop in the unemployment rate
Broward County in Florida has seen a large decline in its unemployment rate, with the month of March recording only 7.5 percent of residents being jobless. This is the lowest rate for the county since 2008 when the rate of unemployed individuals hit 6.8 percent.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reveals that Florida has included 10,800 jobs since the month of February, adding a total of 89,800 jobs since March of last year. The rate in Palm Beach for unemployment was also on the decline, with 8.9 percent of residents without jobs.
New statistics regarding state unemployment rates show that five different states in the U.S. saw a decline in the month of March. Other states that saw a decrease alongside Florida include Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, and Vermont.
