Four people die in a crash
James J. Rosini, 66, William J. Rosini, 68, and Patricia C. Rosini, 65, all of Coal Township; and Deborah A. Korbich, 59, of Elysburg died a car crash near Everglades City on Wednesday afternoon.
The group was driving a silver Ford Taurus northbound on State Road 29 when they did not stop at a flashing red light and were hit from the side by a van traveling westbound on U.S. 41 east. The impact caused the car to hit the guardrail and the van overturned.
According to Ochopee Fire Chief Alan McLaughlin, “We found three people in the car. They were all expired when we checked them in the car…We found one person that was ejected from the car and was down on the canal bank.”
