A pedestrian hit and killed by a car
At 1:30am Thursday morning, a pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Collins Avenue and 39th Street.
The man was putting a bicycle in the trunk of a friends car when he was hit by a Mercedes Benz SUV in the parking lane.
According to Detective Juan Sanchez, Speed is going to be a factor, and we suspect alcohol is a factor, as well.” There were six people inside the SUV, and the driver suffered minor injuries.
