Police officers injured
George Owen, of the 12000 block of Southwest 265th Terrace in Miami, reported a home invasion early Monday that led to a car chase that injured two officers.
Police reported that three intruders came into Owens’ home, tied him up, and covered his eyes with clothing. Owens stated that the three intruders let three others into the house and stole a TV, computer, digital camera, and a safe.
Police spotted the intruders after Owens activated the silent alarm in his home. They then chased the suspects, and one squad got in an accident near 192nd Avenue and 377th Street. One police car hit a ditch causing it to flip, and both officers were taken to Ryder Trauma Center.
Police are still investigating the crime.
