Ray Easterling, found dead in home
Ray Easterling, former NFL football player who was involved in the concussion lawsuit against the football league, was found dead in his home last week after suffering from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Easterling is one of six former NFL players that were involved in a lawsuit stating that the organization’s carelessness caused the men to suffer traumatic head injuries from improper care of concussions.
Over 61 lawsuits have been filed against the NFL and the lawsuits represent more than 1,260 football players. Most of these lawsuits have been consolidated in a Philadelphia court. Easterling’s death may change the route of the lawsuits from personal injury to a wrongful death case.
