Slip and fall lawsuit ends in $7.5 million verdict
The victim of a slip and fall accident has been awarded close to $7.5 million by the jury in his case.
The accident took place at a Starbucks in San Diego, California. The store manager was cleaning the floors while the victim was ordering. He was walking to pick up his drink order when he lost his balance on the slick floor. He fell to the ground, striking his head. The injury resulted in the man being unable to return to work as a chiropractor.
He brought a lawsuit against Starbucks and after two and a half weeks the jury reached a verdict. They awarded him $7.5 million. Of that amount, $1 million went to the victim’s wife for the loss of certain relationship components.
