Attack by a dangerous dog
Deanna Blitch, 51, was indicted on charges including attack by a dangerous dog and lying to deputies regarding the mauling from a fatal dog attack on June 10 near Hawthorne that killed 74-year-old Roy McSweeney.
William Braxton Blitch, 26, son of Deanna, was also indicted on charges of resisting an officer without violence and providing false information to law enforcement.
McSweeney was working in his yard next door to the Blitch’s home when her Pitbull mix attacked him without provocation resulting in him losing one arm, severely injuring the second arm, and injuring his face. McSweeney died of injuries days later.
