Drunk driving may be reason for fatal Ft. Lauderdale accident
Last month in Florida, a freak car accident brought destruction to a blissfully married couple. A 26-year-old woman and her husband were on a church retreat, and were outside at a pool cabana when a vehicle plowed into the area.
The woman, who was seven months pregnant, was hit by the car and pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband had been in the restroom just feet away, and returned to the area in a state of shock. The vacationing couple were visiting from Massachusetts, and the husband said that it was going to be their last vacation before the baby came.
Police have reason to believe that the woman who crashed into the cabana may have been driving under the influence. A mandatory blood test has been announced in the case. At this time, she has not been charged in the accident.
