The cause of a Russian plane crash
The cause of a Russian plane crash that left one Weston family dead has now been determined. It has been said that the navigator was operating under the influence and that there was thick fog in the air.
The accident occurred as a RusAir plane crashed into a highway after flying into a tree and a power line. The crash killed 47 people and only five survived. A few U.S. citizens were on the plane, a man and wife and their two young daughters.
The family visited Weston every summer. A post-crash autopsy report showed that the pilot had a blood alcohol-level of .081. The man allegedly had one glass of vodka before he took off in the plane. Officials also say that the thick fog contributed to the crash and that the pilot could have canceled the flight because of the weather, but did not.
