A boy killed in Pompano Beach Crash
Robert Glover Jr., 6, of Pompano Beach, was struck this past Sunday while riding his scooter by a car involved in a two-car accident.
Marcus Permenter, 28, drove his 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass on Northwest 5th Avenue when he ran a stop sign and hit a Toyota Camry driven by Chiledric Jacques on Northwest 8th Street. After hitting Jacques and his three passengers, Permenter’s vehicle continued on to hit a fence, a parked minivan, a pickup truck, and six-year-old Glover.
The boy was transported to Broward General Medical Center and remained in crucial condition on Sunday night.
The accident is still under investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit. Our thoughts and condolences are with the victim’s family.
